Home Energy Saver
Following are links to two different webpages that are designed to help members ranging from some quick energy saving ideas to an in depth home energy audit.
A simple and quick website to view is togetherwesave.com. Here you can quickly see where and how you can save money on your energy bill simply by clicking on an item (ie: replacing an old refridgerator with a new energy star refridgerator could save you $96/year).
The Home Energy Saver website is designed to help members identify the best ways to save energy in their homes and find the resources to make the savings happen. The Home Energy Saver was the first Internet-based tool for calculating energy use in residential buildings. The project is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of the national ENERGY STAR Program for improving energy efficiency in homes. The Home Energy Saver quickly computes a home's energy use on-line. By changing one or more features of the modeled home, users can estimate how much energy and money can be saved and how.
