If not properly handled, electricity can be vary dangerous. Please be careful around electricity and call us if you have any questions. The following are some simple safety tips you should keep in mind when working around electricity:
- There is enough electrical current in your home wiring to kill you. Respect it.
- Do not work on anything electrical until you shut off the electrical supply. If you have any doubt about what you are doing, call a competent electrician.
- When disconnecting electric cords, pull the plug, not the cord.
- Electricity and water don't mix. Be careful around tubs and sinks.
- Do not use fingers to check for the presence of electricity. Never touch a down power line.
- Explain to your children any do's and don'ts that you know about electricity. It may save their lives.
- Make sure that your wiring meets National Electrical Codes.
- When outside and handling or working with any tall objects, look up for power lines.
